Municipal engineers are a breed sadly disappearing from our local government. They would have an expertise in a diverse range of specialist areas: Traffic Management, Highway Maintenance, particularly Sewerage (the drainage pipe network) and Land Drainage.
Our Drainage Consultants include former local authority drainage engineers, fully experienced and able to provide planning, engineering design and contract administration services.

I couldn’t agree more. The problem is that with plans to make most sewers the concern of water authorities rather than publicly owned in 2011 a lot of drainage engineers as well as drain clearance contractors will be going out of business.
