Multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm, Patrick Parsons, has acquired Guildford-based The Stilwell Partnership as part of its continued expansion across the UK.

The acquisition is a strategic move by the Newcastle-headquartered firm to increase its presence in the South East, and to expand its service offering to clients.

The Stilwell Partnership, which was established in 1992, has a 14-strong team and specialises in traffic and transportation modelling, highways and infrastructure design and road safety engineering.

Peter Stienlet, managing director of Patrick Parsons, said: “We are very pleased to end 2015 on a high with the announcement that we have welcomed The Stilwell Partnership to the Parsons Group. The firm has a fantastic team of experienced consulting engineers and the move enables Patrick Parsons to add traffic and transportation modelling to the services we can offer our clients.”

Nick Stilwell, managing director of The Stilwell Partnership, commented: “We are delighted to be joining a firm that has such an excellent reputation in the industry and an impressive strategy for growth. It’s a perfect fit for us and being part of Patrick Parsons will enable us to provide an increased number of services for our clients and to drive the business forward.”

In addition to its Newcastle base, Patrick Parsons has offices in London, Glasgow, Huddersfield, Chester, Birmingham, Manchester, Dubai and Sydney.
